Sight Words {Sunny Side Up}

Happy Saturday!  It's mid-afternoon and this relaxing feeling I am experiencing is courtesy of my spring break!  I went to a local day spa this morning and had a FAB facial and then came back home, showered, and crawled back into my bed while the hubs took our boys to ride their 4 wheelers!

I'm going to keep this post short today... in fact my posts this week are all probably going to be fairly short... but I wanted to share my new sight word pack.....

My firsties still need help with their sight words and this set is divided up by level {pre-primer, primer, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd}.  Once kiddos can say the sight words they get to flip them over... they could use their hands OR a spatula to up the level of engagement!  I found some uber cute ones at Hobby Lobby, but any spatulas would work!  The kids could also work in pairs with the teacher... teacher calls out a word and the first kiddo to flip the word gets to put the egg in his/her stack... the most eggs wins!  You could also give the kiddos 5-10 words (depending on their ability) and ask them to put them in ABC order.!  The possibilities really would be endless!

My own personal firstie saw me organizing and asked if he could play...  absolutely!  I'm not sure if he liked it because they were eggs or because of the flipping with the spatula, but it made me happy to watch him!

Updated:  Our district made a decision for the whole county to switch to the Fry word lists...  sooooooo.... I also uploaded a pack that has the first 200 Fry words.  Hope this will help some of you!
