Teachers are Heroes... DUH!

Y'all know I love a good sale... heck, any kinda sale, BUT the TpT ones are some of my favorites!  I always look over my wishlist in preparation and make sure that I have left feedback for all of my purchases so that I can maximize my savings.  The TpT sale is happening THIS Wednesday, February 25th!  If you enter promo code HEROES you can save up to 28% off most peeps' stores!  I am filling my cart with tons of clip art for new projects and font licenses!

So... what's new in my store?  Glad you asked!  :)  I had last week off (don't throw tomatoes at me) and I was able to finish 2 projects that had been tabled for the last few month due to my divorce.  It felt SO good to sit and create things for a change... and I'm so excited about these 2 new packs!

First up... Under the Sea Non-Fiction Passages for Curious Learners: 9 Non fiction passages, KWL charts, comprehension questions (2 per page to save ink)... and posters of each animal!  My kiddos are enamored with sea life and this is going to be a HIT!    {click the picture to take you  the store link)

The 2nd Pack is George vs. George {A Revolutionary Match Up} which is perfect for 4th and 5th graders.  In this unit you will find:
1) Several graphic organizers for King George III and George Washington,
2) A Venn Diagram with optional tags to paste.
3) 3 non-fiction passages
4) 1 texting activity (students need to craft a reply text to King George III and a reply text to George Washington)
5) Comprehension questions for the "Why You Taxing Us, Dude" passage!

I hope that you will score some AMAZING deals during the sale... and that the rest of your week will be AMAZING!  Remember that you can connect with me on FB HERE... and on Instagram HERE!  I'm so much better at updating those vs. blogging these days!  Talk to y'all soon!

It's An After Valentines Sale

Let's call it a "thank God I survived Valentines with little humans" sale for kicks.  Our week was Ca-RaZy...  we had school on Monday and Tuesday.  Wednesday and Thursday we were out for ice days.  Then we had school yesterday which was: a full moon, Valentines Day, Jump Rope for Heart, and the last day before our winter break.  Gah!

All that aside... today is my birthday.  I'm pretty stoked that my birthday usually falls during this winter break of ours.  Insert hot cups of coffee, pajamas 'til noon, HGTV, and chilling with my 2 favoritest little humans! ... and with no TpT site sale within site, I have decided to get sassy and throw my own sale!  My whole store is on sale today @ 20% off.

Hope that you will have an amazing weekend and that it goes by super SLOW!  If you're still surrounded by snow... I hope that you will stay warm.  Here it's supposed to be near 70 degrees today!  Welcome to Georgia ... where you can experience 3/4 of the seasons in just one week!  :)  Talk to y'all soon!

I Should've Worn My Elastic Waistband Pants

There... I said it... I should've worn my elastic waistband pants to dinner yesterday.  I maybe ate too much.... twice.  I love carbs...and they love me!  I hope that y'all had a very Merry Christmas.  I enjoyed the day with my peeps and watching them squeal with delight as they opened their gifts.  I have been collecting their presents since September... so I was pumped to watch them all be opened in like 2 minutes! They are efficient... what can I say? :)

My kiddos are off playing with their new tech devices and I am starting to think about taking Christmas stuff down.  I know it seems soon, but we go back to school on the 6th and I don't want the decorations looming over my head...  I also thought that the 2 days of planning were going to be so awesome.  I was picturing myself chillin' in my classroom... organizing, writing lesson plans, cleaning, getting materials together, etc.  Well, we got an itinerary in an email and it looks like I'm going to have approximately 1 hour to myself.  Sigh.

Ok... enough about me... how was your Christmas?  Do you leave all your decorations up for awhile... or do you go ahead and start dismantling early?  When do you go back to school?    What was your favorite Christmas present that you received OR gave?

If you're in a shopping mood... my peeps and I from over at the Primary Chalkboard are all doing a sale.  You can visit any of our TpT shops and receive 20% off... starting today and running through the 29th.  I am shopping for 100th day things, reading comprehension packs, persuasive writing help, and some seasonal type things... OH... and clip art {always the clip art!}

Well, I'm gonna head out to grab some Starbucks (yesterday was hard w/o my "fix") and see what deals I can find at Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx and some boutiques here in town!  I will talk to y'all soon!

Summer in December... A FB Hop

Oh holy night...  there's a new FB hop and I'm so excited to be a part of it.  Me and my Primary Chalkboard peeps are doing a Summer in December hop over on Facebook.  You can start on my page and hop all the way through... scoring a summer-ish themed freebie on each page.  Click the picture below to get started in on the fun!

I hope that y'all had a super fab Thanksgiving and that if you stayed awake all night getting ready for Black Friday shopping... that you have made it back home safely.  I'm more of a buy it on Amazon and have it shipped to the front door kinda girl.  I am also busy adding stuff to my wishlist on Teachers Pay Teachers because the Cyber Monday sale is almost here!  Have you heard about this yet?  I am so excited!!!  It will last for 2 days (December 2nd and 3rd).  Most shops will be discounted up to 28% off... WINNING!

I have many Christmas packs that I have been eyeing... and a TON of clipart that I need want to scoop up! What is the top thing on your list?  Be sure to leave feedback for any purchases you have made recently... because feedback = credits to use towards new purchases.  Combine credits and a sale...  I'm in TpT heaven!

I have been enjoying this week off... maybe a little more than I should.  I could really rock this stay at home thing {just sayin'}.  The laundry is caught up, I have time to read, dinner has been made, etc!  I have brewed a pot of coffee each morning and it is so stinkin' calming.... much different than my sprint out the door at 630am thing I normally have going on!  I'm so excited that you're here and I hope you enjoy the FB hop... before you go... be sure to enter below for my Starbucks gift card giveaway...

a Rafflecopter giveaway OHHHHH... and don't forget to check back soon for the December Currently {I get to sponsor this month and I am so very ecstatic!}...

A TpT Flash Sale.... Who Knew?

Hey, y'all!  Yesterday Teachers Pay Teachers hit 100,000 likes on Facebook and to celebrate... they announced a flash sale.  If you use code FB100K then you will save 10%.... but that's not all... a ton of TpT sellers are also throwing a sale to maximize the savings.  I am excited about shopping from my wishlist!!!

My fall break is coming to an end today...  gotta remember to set my alarm for tomorrow morning {weeping}.  It was a good break though...  lots of fun with my own kidlets!  When they went down for the night... I got busy creating for my class and also uploaded some things to TpT.  Check out what I've been up to below!

Let's Talk Turkey has 3 informational passages (1 for Native Americans, 1 for Pilgrims, and 1 Thanksgiving Then and Now)... each passage has comprehension questions.  There are also graphic organizers and themed writing papers.

I may possibly have recruited my own personal 2nd grader to try it out... just for quality assurance!  Hey... the kids around here have to earn their keep, right?

I also added a bat craft freebie...  The kids and I also had fun making these...  Click the picture to head to my TpT store and download it for free.  Be sure to follow my store so that you can catch on the freebies coming up over the next few holidays!

Last, but not least... my Elf Graphtivity... the best chance to combine math, writing, and art!  Click the picture below to check it out!

One of my friends gave it to her daughter to try out... she made this elf and attached it to her Christmas list and stuck it to the fridge!  What a thoughtful kid.... bwahaha!

I hope that y'all have had a great weekend... and that today will go by super slowly.  I have already counted how many school days until our week off at Thanksgiving...  it is still really crazy that we're already 1/2 way thru October!  Seriously...  I am already buying Christmas presents!  Holy wrapping paper, Batman!  I digress...  be sure to check out the sale today on TpT... and I'll talk to y'all soon!

Back to School... Hey, I Thought You Already Did That?!?!

I am so flippin' excited to be linking up with Christina over at Bunting, Books, and Bainbridge for her Best and Most linky party!  I wasn't actually voted the most or best of anything in high school... I was way too busy working to be doing anything else... work, work, and work some more!  Also... have you heard?  The Back to School sale is starting this weekend over at TpT!  Seems kinda funny to say since my kidlets' first day was August 1st! ;)

Teacher's pet: This is my FREE Donors Choose guide.  I truly believe that every teacher who is able to sign up should give Donors Choose a try.  It has changed my classroom so very much over the last few years.  I also donate to my own projects from time to time... and any money I donate on DC is tax deductible!

Most likely to help your students succeed:  I chose my African American pack.  It is versatile enough to be used all year long... not sure February.  There are reading passages, mini foldable books, comprehension questions, coloring pages, and more!

Best couple:  My 2 Wizard of Oz packs... they really go hand in hand.  The Lions, Tigers, and Bears pack is content heavy.... and the graphtivity is a pack that mixes math, writing, and art all together.  It also makes one FAB bulletin board display when the kidlets are done!

Don't forget to use the code BTS13 to receive up to 28% off during the sale!  I plan on clearing out my wishlist...  I ... can't.... wait!  I hope that y'all are having a great weekend so far... talk to y'all soon!

2, 4, 6, 8... Who Do We Appreciate? Oh Yeah, It's Us!

Woohoo for teacher appreciation week!  I am all about some teacher appreciation.  The PTO had an ice cream sundae bar @ school today {ummm... yes, please, and thank you!}.  They are serving us a Mexican feast on Friday...  I'd call this week a win!  I am the most excited about the sale starting on Teachers Pay Teachers tomorrow!!!  I looked at my wish list today and there "may" be 25 things on there!  I am trying to think ahead to next year and what I might need before the next big TpT sale.  How big is your wishlist?

Today is my anniversary so I'm gonna keep this short and sweet.  Yep... I've been married for 11 years {and to the same guy for all of those!!!}.  I hope that you have a great week and that you score lots of goodies during the TpT sale!  Be sure to check out my store... it's all 28% off!  Finished some Pirate Place Value Practice recently...  my kids LOVE pirates!  Argh!

Talk to y'all soon!
